Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your Girki account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the Girki app:
1Open the Girki app
2Go to Profile → Settings
3Tap "Delete Account"
4Confirm the deletion
Alternatively, Email Us
If you prefer, you can request account deletion by email:
Send an email to hello@girki.app with the subject line “Delete My Account”.
Make sure to send the email from the address associated with your Girki account so we can verify your identity.
We will process your request within 7 business days.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When your account is deleted, the following actions are taken:
- Your profile and preferences are permanently deleted
- Your pantry data is removed
- Your cook history and favorites are deleted
- Your subscription is cancelled (you will not be charged again)
- This action cannot be undone
Data Retention
Personal data
All personal data is deleted within 30 days of your request.
Analytics data
Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
