Open the app and tap the Pantry tab. Tap the + button to add an ingredient — you can search from our Nigerian ingredient library or type your own. The more accurate your pantry, the better your meal suggestions will be.

Girki looks at what you have in your pantry and suggests Nigerian meals you can actually cook right now. Tap "Surprise Me" for AI-generated creative ideas, or browse curated recipes that match your ingredients.

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). On iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Girki. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Girki. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access until the end of your billing period.

Try restoring your purchase from Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, email us with your receipt and we'll sort it out within 24 hours.

You can delete your account directly in the app from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or request deletion from our account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and removes all your pantry data and cook history.

First, try closing and reopening the app, then make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If the problem continues, email us with your device model, OS version, and a description of what you were doing — screenshots help a lot.

Yes. Girki works anywhere — the recipe library is focused on Nigerian cuisine, but you can use it from any country.

Open the app, go to Settings → Notifications, and toggle them off. You can also disable notifications entirely from your device settings.
